The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) estimated there are 30,125 fire departments in the United States.
Of these Departments, 71% are are Volunteer, with another 16% being mostly Volunteer.(meaning more than 50% of the department).
Government funding to these departments are minimal to non-existent .
These Volunteer Firefighters are working with 20 year old equipment, hoping to have enough money someday to purchase 10 year old equipment, and never dreaming that they would own new equipment.

This is why the Volunteer Firefighter Alliance was founded. Volunteer firefighters are just that, volunteers. They already work a 40 hour per week job and then volunteer their free time to help the community through the department, with no pay, no benefits, no pension.
To find time to participate in a local fundraiser is difficult for them. That is why we are here to help. All funds raised through our organization will go back into the area that they are raised in for new/used equipment that is desperately needed by the Fire Department.
Our organization is non-profit 501(c)(3) and is strictly volunteer based with currently no compensated Board Members or employees. We try to mitigate the causes and effects of life-threatening on-scene dangers with equipment grants to under-funded agencies. So please, let's help provide new equipment for the people that are there to help us.
